DIAMO, state enterprise, based in Stráž pod Ralskem, was selected due to the wide experience of its staff in the application of acid in-situ leaching of uranium, which might be successfully used at any other U-deposits abroad. Besides this knowledge DIAMO offers a considerable experience in the remediation of closed down conventional mining and processing areas, the remediation of host rock formations after ISL, mine water treatment, the protection of employees and the population from radiation and environmental protection, etc.
As well as these professional skills, DIAMO also provides appropriate teaching premises, accommodation and catering facilities, and can arrange relaxing and social events for participants.
